Korea and Western Australia agreed to bolster their economic, educational and cultural ties

Republic of Korea and Western Australia have agreed in principle to bolster their economic, educational and cultural ties.

The issues were discussed in ameeting between ambassador of Republic of Korea Lee Baeksoon and Peter Tinley, Minister for Asian Engagement of the Western Australia, said a statement issued by the embassy of Republic of Korea.

Both sides discussed ways to further strengthen Korea-Western Australia relations.

Korea is Western Australia’s 3rd largest trading partner, and Ambassador Lee and Minister Tinley agreed that both Korea and Western Australia will become more crucial to each other in the era of the Indo-Pacific region.

Ambassador Lee and Minister Tinley agreed to vitalize the bilateral relations not only in the field of economy but in other areas including education, culture and consular matters.
