Ambassador of State of Qatar to Australia Mr Saad bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud has presented his credentials to the Governor General of Solomon Islands David Vunagi as (non-resident) Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar to Solomon Islands at the Government House in capital Honiara.

State of Qatar has friendly ties with the Pacific nation of Solomon Islands.

After the official ceremony, Ambassador Saad bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud called on the Governor General and conveyed the greetings of HH the Amir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to the Governor General of Solomon Islands and HH’s wishes of good health and happiness to him and to the Government and people of the Solomon Islands further progress and prosperity.

The Governor General of Solomon Islands while warmly welcoming the new non-resident Ambassador State of Qatar entrusted Ambassador Saad bin Abdullah with his greetings to HH the Amir and his wishes for the Qatari people of more prosperity and progress.

The Governor General also wished HE the Ambassador success in his new duties and in strengthening the friendly relations and cooperation between the State of Qatar and the Solomon Islands.
